The action is smooth and I have been shooting out to 500 yards accurately with it. By saying accuratly , I mean 2 inch groups at 500 yards. It is a gun well worth its price and I am buying one for my son this year in the .243 caliber. My Army buddies were impressed with it as well. They all loved the smooth action and accuracy we were getting at 300 and out to 500 yards.

A very good buy I bought it almost three years ago. At my old range I must have but a good 800 to 900 rounds thru it easy. Shot it every weekend cause it was my first bolt action. This rifle fireing the 150 grain 30/06 sp round will give you a good sub moa at 100yds at first and using it like have, am geting a 1/4 now. As for max distance 300yds is pretty much like point blank, and 500yds is just as easy if your using mil-dots. Come next month im hiting that 1000yd gong cause some one has to do it with this rifle.

How can you go wrong for the price?? I can almost get 2" groups at 100yds. Its light so it kicks a bit. Trigger is not that good. Pull level high, has creep. But for the price....unless you are looking for varmint gun accuracy, leave your high priced wood stocked gun at home. If you are going to hunt in places that can wreck a pretty stock buy this one. I can take a beating and keep on shooting. Its reliable, decently accurate and needs little maintence. I am sure with a little trigger work I can get it to shoot minute of angle at 100 yards, which would make it a 300 yard rifle for all but the varmint and bench rest shooters. Its a super deal for the money.
