Stock: Specially-designed, hand-laminated, raised comb Monte
Carlo synthetic (combination of Aramid, unidirect-
ional fibers and fiberglass). The stock features a
CNC-machined aluminum bedding plate that stiffens the
receiver area to provide a stable and rigid platform
for the action. A matte black gel coat finish is
accented with faint grey "spider web" pattern.

I thinned out my gun collection years ago. I kept ONE assault weapon, 1 pistol, 2 shotguns ]pump & auto[, and ONE hunting rifle. Of course I kept the WEATHERBY 7mm WBY MAGNUM.
The 7mm Wby magnum has the least felt recoil, yet a prize fighters punch. The 7mm has more than enough knock down power at 500 yards for bear, black tail deer, elk, caribou, and 300 pound boars!
This is the best most accurate out of the box consumer rifle that I have ever owned. I have NEVER thrown a shot with it. It put them where I place them - a TRUE TACK DRIVER!
The synthetic stock does not absorb moisture, therefore it won''t change shape with changes in humidity ]possibly effecting accuracy[.
CONS:
#1
Personally, I do not like the drilled scope mounting locations. To gain the clearance and use low profile mounting rings for the 50mm Swarvoski scope, I installed a picatinny rail. Now, if I reload quickly, the brass hits the rail, instead of the scope. Had I mounted the scope rings directly to the gun with the provided taps, the ejected rounds would strike the scope tube. Since the scope cost as much as the rifle, I''d like to prevent dents & scratches whenever I can.
#2 If I had it to do over again, I''d have selected the 7MM Magnum, but chambered for the 7MM Remington Magnum round. The 7MM Weatherby Magnum ammunition is not available everywhere ]hard to find[. On the other hand, the 7MM Remington Mag ammunition can be had at Walmart! The ballistics are exactly the same for both rounds. The only difference is the shoulder of the brass case, one is beveled, the other is rounded. THEY ARE NOT INTERCHANGEABLE!

I can hit the same whole in a 3 shot group at 100 yards. Gets a little wild when the barrel heats up. It kicks like a baby with the accubrake. Mine has ~8hrs gunsmith work (tigger and action). Nonetheless pretty awesome.
